The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of roads, bridges, county equipment, landfill, environment sanitary code and noxious weeds.

Responsibilities include accounting, clerical, correspondence, scheduling meetings and appointments, collect fees, prepare bills, time sheets, bills for payment, order supplies, keep records of Department activities. Perform tasks, as needed, for the Noxious Weed and Sanitary Code. The Office Manager is the link between the Public Works Departments and the Citizens of Elk County.
